What causes a trailer to jack-knife?
While several things may cause a trailer to jack-knife, in most cases it happens on wet or icy roads when the trailer begins to skid and begins to move faster than the tractor. It is also more likely to happen with a light or empty trailer.

How old do you have to be to drive a tractor trailer in the state of Maine?
You must be at least 18 to drive within the state of Maine, but you must be 21 to have an interstate CDL. Many companies wait to hire a driver that has a few years of experience.

I lost my CDL. Now what?
Make sure that you don't drive a commercial vehicle without one. You can get a replacement at a Maine Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
